• Ashley was a competitive swimmer throughout high school, and she has said it was her swimming ability that secured her place at the University of Southern California (USC).
• She went on to star in their Varsity Swimming team, “The Trojans,” and competed in the backstroke category. She competed on a national level on multiple occasions.
• Under the instruction of USC coaches, she went on to compete in the 2012 Olympic Trials in the backstroke. Unfortunately, she was unsuccessful.
• She retired from her swimming pursuits in 2012 to focus on her broadcast journalism career.

TV Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :

• Ashley’s mother, Deborah Pyburn Brewer, previously worked as a news anchor for Phoenix-based CBS station for almost 10 years. Ashley has said this is where she got the inspiration for her own career.
• She landed her first job as an intern for the ABC Sports department in 2010 while still attending university.
• After her graduation in 2012, she became the sideline reporter for college football for Fox 7 Arizona.
• She then moved into a weekend sports anchor role for KGUN-9 in Tucson. During her two years in that role, she covered all professional & college-based sports.
• She has also covered Super Bowl XLIX and the 2016 College Football National Championship game.
• Till 2019, she worked as the lead sports anchor and reporter for the ABC LA sports division. In 2020, she accepted a new job offer from ESPN. She counts hiring by ESPN as one of her most significant professional achievements.
