Little is known in the mysterious death of Caldwell man, family looking for answers

CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — The family of Cesar Sandoval had a lot of questions after he mysteriously died. They are holding a vigil for him on Friday, Nov. 10, to honor him as they grieve his loss.
Growing up in a big family, Cesar Sandoval was the seventh boy in his family of ten. He was known to his family as a loving and generous person, a hard worker and a proud father.
His sister-in-law, Bertha Sandoval, said, "One thing he had been talking about recently and been really excited about was that his daughter is a senior in high school, and she was going to graduate, and she was looking at colleges."
He was the one always trying to take pictures and capture the moment. His sister-in-law says he was a true Idahoan, "He was always taking photos and videos. He wanted to capture everything he did. He loved music and dancing... and he loved his family. He was an avid hunter and avid fisherman."
He had come back from a hunting trip with his brothers and nephew one week before he died.
His love and generosity toward his family were also shown in his business, J and C Flooring, which he co-owned with his friend and cousin, Jose.
The two of them found out how well they worked together during high school jobs on the farm. His sister-in-law said, "He would not hesitate to help you... and to help anybody. Such a loving and generous person... so selfless. He would help anybody."
Bertha Sandoval says, "Our reason for doing the vigil is, it's not forty days since it occurred, and we want to, you know, keep talking about it. We want it to get out to everybody and make sure that everybody keeps seeing, that somebody does come forward."
The Sandoval family is hopeful someone will come forward with more information on the incident soon, saying, "He didn't deserve this... whatever occurred, you know, and that's what we want. We want answers. We want to know what is going on... what happened." Cesar Sandoval is remembered as a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and uncle.
Little information is known about how Cesar died. The incident occurred at the intersection of 10th Avenue and Homedale Road, and police estimate it happened around 1 a.m.
If you have any information about the incident, you are asked to contact the Canyon County Sheriff's Office at (208)454-7480.
